Chris Bryant got involved with Cuso International at a young age, starting a life of adventure and global contribution. When he was 25 years old, Chris started his international career by teaching children in Grenada for two years. Afterwards, he wanted to keep contributing so continued on to manage Cuso International’s Jamaica program.
“The work was fascinating and the country even more intriguing. Jamaica was also personally enriching. I arrived as a single man but I left, four years later, with a wife and son—the two longest-lasting gifts the country gave me. And although I left Jamaica, I didn’t leave Cuso International,” he said.
He returned to Canada to become executive director of the organization from 1983-1990.
He brought his love of teaching home and continued his project support work, as well as development education to inform Canadians about what was happening in the world.
